Pressure is rising
So ive been accepted at the prep school i applied to earlier this year. Good news right? Well i also play both hockey and basketball....which happen to be in the same season. Now this does not nessicaraly mean that i would have to choose between one of my sports, but it sure would have to take a starin on one of them. My father wants me to give up basketball and my mother hockey. I do prefer basketball myself but i know that i must continue training for hockey because if i want the money to get into a good college i will need one hell of a scholarship. Since i am better in hockey for my age and already getting letters from various D1 colleges, my futur seems set. The only problem is...was i at all consulted about the decisions that will shape the rest of my life? No. Pressure is something that i have been taught to deal with my entire life, but these days it seems like every single small desision i am making in my everyday life are affecting the outcomes of my future tremendously. So the question still remains... follow my head and satisfy my parents by staying in hockey and going to a D1 college with it or follow my heart and stick to the sport i truly love, basketball?
